I have been living in Four Marks, Hampshire for 26 years. I am married to Helen, and have two daughters long departed the nest, and recently a beautiful grandson.
I have been writing this blog since 2012 and it is dedicated to the wildlife around my village of Four Marks. The amount of posts to this blog have reduced through the last few years, mostly observing and documenting the events of my garden and the semi tame Blackbirds and Robins we have. The blog though does provide a good record for five years of the natural history, and describes the many changes to the area around the village that have happened in such a short time.
In addition to this blog I write another all about the birding trips I take around the county of Hampshire, and our travel further a field, both here in the United Kingdom and around the world.
Many of my local birding trips I take with my good friend Ian, and we combine our time birding with sharing our love of music, and anything that makes us laugh. The trips further away are of course with my wife, my closest companion and critic!
