Moisture perhaps, seen that in forests before but it is more obvious than that.Grass pollen has been more prevalent in the last week but would it be that visible? If it was calmer weather as you wrote at the beginning it would be more likely that insects would be emerging en masse wouldn't you think?..fascinating though!Smudgerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03883234034956658460noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9071034157236100036.post-38676769767138462912012-06-25T12:11:57.699+01:002012-06-25T12:11:57.699+01:00There is a kindle version of Hampshire so I will g...There is a kindle version of Hampshire so I will get hold of a copy! On a side note - as you most probably have read Gilbert White's seminal work of which yours is a contemporary equivalent. I am currently engrossed in W.H Hudson's Hampshire Days.If you haven't read it it's a high recommendation. Set in 1901-02 one hundred years on from Mr White.Written as a diary of a year around Hampshire, Hudson has a passion for nature that I have very much connected with. He describes all he sees in detail and revels in creatures that even most naturalists can overlook. It may be over 100 years old but some things are timeless. A fascinating read that makes you want to visit the places he describes to see what has changed...or not as the case may be.Smudgerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03883234034956658460noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9071034157236100036.post-78379759597510026762012-06-22T06:14:10.540+01:002012-06-22T06:14:10.540+01:00Hi, thanks. With your article I was able to get something out of it, so....
